Fawkner Food Bowls is a community urban farm run by volunteers. Our day-to-day activity plays a core role in Merri-Bek’s Food System Strategy and includes the communal running of a market garden, a volunteer program three days a week, and hosting many events such as working bees and cultural celebrations that provide opportunities for social connection. We are currently supported by Merri-Bek’s Food Hub initiative in partnership with Merri Food Hub and Growing Farmers Inc. to grow and distribute a wide range of culturally relevant produce weekly.
