Playgroup Victoria grants you a limited license to access and make personal use of this site and not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with express written consent of Playgroup Victoria. APPLICABLE LAW

By visiting Playgroup Victoria, you agree that the laws of the state of Victoria, Australia, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these Conditions of Use and any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and Playgroup Victoria or its associates.

DISPUTES

If you have a concern, complaint or dispute relating to your use of the Playgroup Victoria website, our services, or these Terms and Conditions, we encourage you to contact Playgroup Victoria in the first instance so that we can try to resolve the matter promptly and fairly. Where appropriate, Playgroup Victoria may seek to resolve a dispute through discussion, negotiation or mediation before further action is taken. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may pursue any rights or remedies available to them under applicable Australian law. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law. For disputes involving Playgroup Victoria members, the dispute resolution and grievance procedures set out in Playgroup Victoria’s governing rules will apply where relevant. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

SITE POLICIES, MODIFICATION, AND SEVERABILITY

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Playgroup Victoria website and should be read together with any other policies or notices that are specifically referred to on this website, including our Privacy Policy. Playgroup Victoria may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our website, services, policies or legal obligations. Any updated Terms and Conditions will be published on this website and will apply from the date they are published, unless otherwise stated. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be read down or severed to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under applicable law.

PRIZES, COMPETITIONS AND GIVEAWAYS

PLAYGROUP REGISTRATION

PAYMENT: All playgroup registrations must be completed via the registration form. Payment is required at the time of registration unless otherwise agreed in writing by Playgroup Victoria. All fees are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.
Playgroup Victoria does not accept cash or cheques for playgroup registration payments. Payment must be made using one of the electronic payment methods offered on the registration form or on an invoice issued by Playgroup Victoria. Registrations paid by cash or cheque will not be processed, and any payment received in this way will be returned to the sender.

REFUND POLICY: Playgroup registration fees are generally non-refundable. Refunds will only be considered where:
• a payment has been made in error, such as a duplicate transaction, or
• the playgroup can demonstrate financial hardship, at the discretion of Playgroup Victoria management
All refund requests must be submitted in writing and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Approved refunds will be processed for the amount determined by Playgroup Victoria. Where a registration is refused or cancelled under the Right to Refuse Registration clause above, any fee paid will be refunded.

DISCOUNTS: Bulk registration discounts may be available where five or more playgroups are registered at the same time. Eligibility and discount amounts are determined at the discretion of Playgroup Victoria and must be applied at the time of registration. Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.

RIGHT TO REFUSE OR DECLINE REGISTRATION: Playgroup Victoria is an inclusive organisation. We reserve the right to refuse registration of any playgroup that does not meet our playgroup criteria. That may extend to groups who exclude, who are politically motivated, or do not align with our inclusive values and practices.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: All pricing, discounts and promotions are valid at the time of purchase only and cannot be applied after registration is completed. Playgroup Victoria reserves the right to update fees, policies and discount offerings at any time.

GENERAL PAYMENT TERMS

This covers anything outside playgroup registration, such as paid training or workshops, event tickets, pop-up playgroup bookings, paid resources and affiliations.

PRICING AND GST: All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable, unless stated otherwise. Prices may change without notice, but the price displayed at the time of purchase or quoted on your invoice will apply to that transaction.

PAYMENT METHODS: Payment must be made using the methods offered at checkout or on your invoice. Playgroup Victoria does not accept cash or cheques unless agreed in writing in advance.

PAYMENT DUE DATES: Payment is required in full at the time of booking or purchase unless an invoice has been issued. Invoices must be paid within 14 days of the invoice date, or by the due date shown on the invoice.

OVERDUE PAYMENTS: If payment is not received by the due date, Playgroup Victoria may withhold access to the relevant product, service, event or training, cancel the booking, and suspend further bookings until the outstanding amount is paid.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: Cancellation and refund terms for events, training and other services are set out at the time of booking and take priority over these general terms. If no separate terms apply, all payments are non-refundable except where required by Australian Consumer Law or where Playgroup Victoria cancels or changes the event or service.
