Playgroup network meetings
This year's first playgroup network meeting was at Wantirna's Early Parenting Centre and included a bus tour of City of Knox playgroups organised by Early Years Community Development Officer Fiona Miller (now at City of Whittlesea). Among those at the meeting were the:
- Knox Council early years community development officer
- Whittlesea Council early years community development officer
- Kingston Council multicultural playgroup leader
- Monash Council preschool support officer
- Port Phillip Council family and children's community support officer
- Kidsafe acting state manager
- Merri Community Health Service MyTime group facilitator
- Pinarc MyTime group facitator
- Playgroup Victoria projects coordinator, trainer, PlayConnect state coordinator, MyTime state coordinator and community development administrator
- Save the Children playgroup leader and two playgroup assistants
- Darebin Council Premmie Babies and MyTime group coordinator
- Wyndham Council family resource officer.
The next playgroup network meeting is in Ballarat on Thursday November 18, 11am-2pm.
Join the network
Connect with 200 others from local, state and Australian governments, agencies and organisations at playgroup network meetings to better support Victorian families and children through participation in local playgroups. The playgroup network meets for three hours, three times a year; twice in metropolitan Melbourne, once in regional Victoria. Discuss specific topics, hear guest speakers and share good practice.
