Families caring for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder needed
If you care for a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder or ASD-like symptoms, Playgroup Australia would value your help. You could win a prize of one of 5 x $100 Coles/Myer gift cards simply by taking a short survey about the PlayConnect Playgroup program. PlayConnect is an Australian Government funded initiative for families with young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder that is continuing to grow and have a positive impact across Australia.
Until Monday March 8, we're surveying the community to measure awareness and opinions about the PlayConnect Playgroup program. Whether or not you know of or participate in PlayConnect, if you care for a child with ASD or ASD-like symptoms, Playgroup Australia would like to gather your feedback. This will help us improve this valuable service to the Australian community and make it even better. You can get more information about PlayConnect and take the survey at www.playconnect.com.au.
How early home learning affects children's development
New research by the Parenting Research Centre with parents of children aged up to five will investigate what parents do to influence their child's early home learning environment and how this relates to their child's development. This research aims to establish an understanding of what Victorian parents know about early home learning, child development, and the barriers they face on a daily basis.
Survey results will be used to develop materials and resources that support parent's knowledge of the early home learning environment.
