Koorie Playgroup Enhancement Program

The Koorie Playgroup Enhancement Program (KPEP) is funded through DEEWR under the Parental and Community Engagement program.

Through the KPEP, Playgroup Victoria aims to collaborate with statewide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations to enhance Koorie playgroups, promote the importance of playgroup, develop local partnerships and look for opportunities to engage additional families or encourage new playgroups to start.

KPEP coordinator's role

The KPEP coordinator aims to connect with Koorie playgroup facilitators to reduce isolation and support them in their role. She visits Koorie playgroups and conducts workshops with parents/carers and coordinators to provide skills to assist in children's learning and development and enable parents to transfer these skills to the home.

Contact Sharon on 1800 171 882 extension 147 or email Sharon@playgroup.org.au to find out more.
