Playgroup of the Month
 Warracknabeal Playgroup is Playgroup of the Month for the service it is offering parents. It runs from Tuesday to Friday under the grandstand in Anzac Park and is the only playgroup servicing Warracknabeal's 2500 population.
Families at the playgroup are free to come any day and stay as long as they like.
"It's a great place to take the load off and catch up with other parents," president Kirsten Zwar said.
"When I first arrived from Gippsland six years ago I knew no one. I've made so many friends by being part of this group.
"It's somewhere you can come and do things with the kids you mightn't do at home. A lot of people don't like their children making a mess at home but they can do that at playgroup.
"We had a messy day to celebrate National Playgroup Week in March. The kids had a ball searching for things in slime and splat painting."
